Sawing deviation is a common problem during the operation of a band saw machine, involving many links. It not only involves the skills of the sawing machine operator, but also involves the adjustment of the sawing machine, but ultimately reflected in the serrated blade of the saw blade. Therefore, the tooth edge is the key to determining the cutting quality. After the saw blade deviates, immediately remove it and check its tooth tip. Originally, each cutting edge of the new saw blade was like a sharp small shovel, but at this point, you will see one side of the teeth being white and bright. When you use a magnifying glass to see one side blunt, there will be deviation when sawing. It is common for the outer side to be blunt, as the clamping is not good and the saw blade does not enter the vertical state, causing damage to the difficult side (mostly the outer side). 1. Reason for band saw machine: Due to hydraulic system leakage, speed control valve out of control, and other reasons, the saw frame cannot stably descend (some low-priced saw machines even vibrate during the cutting process), causing the saw blade to shake and cut, resulting in the workpiece being sawed diagonally. In addition, if the distance between the two guide arms of the saw machine is too large, the tension of the saw band is insufficient, the guide block is worn, and the saw band is poorly clamped, it will directly affect the cutting quality, and then extend the saw angle.
2. Personnel operation reasons: We will focus on the sawing deviation caused by poor operation. The typical manifestation of a sawing deviation ratio of over 90% caused by operation is the installation of a new saw band without any inspection or adjustment, let alone the initial running in of the new saw blade, using high-speed cutting. Due to the relatively large cutting feed rate, the serrations are in the limit cutting state. In this case, due to the sharp edge of the new serrations, there are also burrs and small allowable deviations during the machining process. If the new saw blade does not run slowly, the teeth will wear out prematurely or on one side, and the amount of teeth divided will be damaged. Therefore, the new saw blade may experience sawing deviation or even collapse.
The correct operation is: after the saw is tensioned, measure the vertical accuracy of the saw, adjust the guide arm to a distance of about 1 cm from the workpiece (to avoid saw deviation, reduce saw distortion, and extend saw life), and lock the guide block. When sawing, when the serrations come into contact with the workpiece, they must be slowly fed (during the initial running in stage) to ensure that the serrations are not subjected to too much diving cutting force, so that the serrations can safely pass through the running in period and can be cut normally.
3. The reason for the band saw blade itself: As a daily cutting consumable, the purchase price management of the band saw blade is generally strict. However, excessive price comparison can lead to more or less quality problems in the purchased saw blade, such as the easy cracking of the saw blade body and the easy dropping of the saw blade tooth tip. The soft saw blade body is also one of the main reasons for material cutting inclination. Therefore, in the process of purchasing saw blades, buy more ones that are considered reasonable in price, then conduct testing, and then conduct a large number of purchases after testing; At the same time, it is also important to pay attention to the chaotic situation of saw blades in the market. It is better to go to a legitimate saw blade sales office to avoid shoddy products.
